Veritas uses markets to rank media. To do this, we built a novel prediction market primitive called inversely coupled bonding surfaces that allows permissionless market creation for as low as $50 of initial liquidity. Traders can go long or short the relevance of content and rebase the reserves of the curves every few hours according to a novel crowd wisdom elicitation mechanism. Losers pay the winners, and relevance snaps back to reality. Content creators earn a cut of trading fees, and traders profit from the early discovery of bangers, all while casual content consumers get the highest signal media feed on the internet.

We started Vertra with a clear target: help New York City’s DOB ecosystem by stopping the cycle where elevator companies rack up fines over one hundred thousand dollars just to get inspections done. Our first goal is to streamline compliant, verifiable inspections and maintenance records, creating immediate savings and a sustainable revenue engine for us. From there, we’ll scale to enhance communities and states that lack consistent inspection regimes, bringing simple surveys, transparent on-chain records, and fair payouts to mechanics and riders alike.
