Perpetuity is a perpetual opinion trading platform built on Solana. Unlike traditional prediction markets that resolve after events, Perpetuity lets users trade long-term debates that evolve forever - from sports rivalries to asset superiority. Markets never close, opinions trade perpetually.

We are building a lightweight, peer-to-peer decentralized exchange that allows two users to directly connect and trade assets across Solana, Ethereum, and other chains powered by Perun State Channels. The hackathon prototype features a simple application using a web UI where two users can open a secure cross-chain state channel between Solana and Ethereum. Using the channel, they can execute trades instantly and without fees, while final settlement is enforced on-chain on both chains. Trades are executed P2P with no intermediary, bridge or wrapping involved. This project is a first showcase of our Solana integration that we started building with support from Superteam Germany. We intend to continue working on this as part of a larger roadmap building a global state channel network across all ecosystems. The prototype demonstrates how Solana can serve as a fast, low-cost hub for cross-chain DeFi.
